Levelling Up Your Political Persuasion Skills

Want to help the Greens win Griffith but not sure you know enough about politics? Come to our half-day training and get skilled up in talking Greens politics, responding to common concerns, and swinging votes!

A federal election is coming this year and we have a huge chance of winning Griffith and re-electing Larissa Waters to the Senate. Our campaign has already knocked on 14,000 doors and chatted to thousands of people – but if we want to take on the old parties and their corporate backers, we’ll need to build the biggest grassroots campaign in Queensland Greens history.

One-on-one conversations are proven to be the most effective way to change minds and swing votes. Faith in Labor and the Liberals is at an all-time low, and often people are just one conversation away from making the switch to the Greens. So while we don’t have the big corporate dollars to spend on heaps of glossy advertising, we have something far more powerful: you!

This event is for people of all experience levels from regular doorknockers to people only just getting interested in Greens politics.

There will be training sessions on general persuasive conversation skills, and workshops on specific policies and on how to handle particular frequently asked questions. You’ll get a chance to practice your new skills with other volunteers.

By the end of this training you’ll have everything you need to get out there and win votes!
